About Fentanyl Free America

Fentanyl Free America is a movement to end the synthetic opioid crisis. Over 325,000 Americans have died from synthetic opioids since 2021. Nearly 50,000 Americans die from fentanyl each year. Fentanyl is the number one killer of Americans ages 18 to 44.

About Fentanyl Free Mexico

Fentanyl Free Mexico recognizes that stopping fentanyl in America requires stopping fentanyl production in Mexico. Mexican authorities have seized hundreds of illegal fentanyl labs. With continued cooperation between U.S. and Mexican law enforcement, we can do more.

How Fentanyl Is Made

Fentanyl is a synthetic opioid up to 50 times stronger than heroin. Precursor chemicals are manufactured in China and shipped to Mexico. Cartels including Sinaloa and CJNG operate illegal fentanyl labs in Mexico. The finished fentanyl is pressed into counterfeit pills or mixed into other drugs. One pill can kill.
